MediCoin - a token on a Hyperledger Fabric permissioned network used to track the amount of medical services provided by private and public hospitals.MediCoin project was designed as a POC cooperation between ministry of health and social security fund of Argentina.
The lifecycle of a MediCoin is the following:-Private and public hospitals provide health services in the insurance case events.-The system tracks insurance cases and provides the treatment.-The system allocates an amount of Medicoins corresponding to the services provided on the service provider account.-The service providers (private and public hospitals) can redeem MediCoins for cash from Argentinian social security fund or government bonuses like discounted equipment, infrastructure upgrade programs, education and event participation.
Stage 2 platform extension is planned to add encrypted medical documentation storage and zero-knowledge data processing to track treatment efficiency and relative performance of medical institutions.
